Well, let’s get down to the basics: I’m Rebecca (Becca for short), I’m in my 20’s, I’m born and raised in the Poconos and I’m the Social Media Manager at Tepsi Print. Now that all of that is covered, let’s move onto the good stuff! I have always been creative and enjoy using my creativity in a way that best portrays products and services through the use of social media.

My love for photography began when I was 5 years old and received my first Fisher-Price camera. From that moment on, I could be seen with a camera in my hand recording family vacations, parties, get-togethers, and of course, everyone’s pet. I truly believe I inherited my love for photography from my grandfather (along with an extensive collection of vintage cameras!).

In middle school, I explored my creativity and took a digital media and web design class in both 7th and 8th grade. In high school, I ultimately fell in love with digital media and took multiple photography, art, and graphic design classes.

Photography and Digital Media

I turned my love for all things media into a career when I became a Digital Media Technologies major with a concentration in Graphic Design and Photography at East Stroudsburg University. Throughout college, I was able to take classes in every field of the media industry and took full advantage of learning programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and many others.

During my college career, not only did my love for commercial photography begin to grow, but so did my love for design. As a junior at ESU, I started working as an Instructional Resources Technical Assistant where I worked with other students in the DMET Department to set up, film, and edit on-campus events including The Big Brother, Big Sister Telethon and Pocono Medical Center Auction.

While attending college and working, I also freelanced for many companies and individuals creating images, videos, and design work. During my time at ESU, I participated in multiple Digital Media Fairs where I designed posters and placed each year I participated; created a promotional video for the finalist and subsequent winner of the Monroe County Image Awards in the category of Educational Leadership; photographed, filmed and edited multiple videos such as live concerts, weddings, celebrations, and portraits; designed a logo for Ocean State Job Lot’s regional team, The Trailblazers; and was the 2018 recipient of the Dr. Ernest Rydell Scholarship.

As a requirement for graduation, I needed to complete a 15-week internship in my field. After months of searching, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a small marketing agency right in my backyard. Thus, began my time as the Photography and Videography Intern at TEPSBEST. I spent 5 months learning the ins and outs of graphic design, photography, social media marketing, and videography for various brands and industries. Each day I spent in the office, I learned that hustle, dedication, and hard work can really pay off. And it definitely did when I was offered a full-time position on the team after graduation.

Social Media Manager

I joined the TEPSBEST team as the Social Media Manager. During my time as the Social Media Manager, my creativity really exploded. I was creating images, videos, and social media content for many companies and individuals of various businesses in the automotive, hospitality, service, financial, healthcare, and non-profit industries.

As the Social Media Manager, it is my responsibility to keep our client’s social media on point. Things I keep in mind while creating a client’s social media content is their brand, their style, their tone of voice, and their overall message they want to send to their followers and potential followers. I love that like each client has their own unique style, so does each platform. Because of this, I try to keep myself up to date with each social media platform.

The thing I like best about social media is that it is always growing and changing. I make it my responsibility to keep our social media and our clients’ social media up to date with the changing trends. I would like to think I’m adaptable in that way. My strengths in graphic design and photography allow me to succeed in content creation, but that doesn’t stop me from using media like video editing, motion graphics, and animation to step up my clients’ brands and set them apart from others. I’m always up for a challenge and when I overcome it, it feels even better.

Being one of the original team members of TEPSBEST, I watched it grow from a small startup to a full in-house marketing agency. As the company grew, so did my knowledge of social media and marketing. In September of 2019, TEPSBEST grew into a print and design studio, Tepsi Print. Soon began my journey to learn the ins and outs of production printing. Something I was not very familiar with, but with a lot of patience and understanding, I learned the new addition.

I count myself lucky to have experienced working alongside such creative, motivated people. One of my favorite parts of my job at Tepsi Print is the people I have met and continue to meet and work with. It is such an honor to be a part of creating and shaping someone’s brand and social media identity, it is such a gift to call this my job.

In the end, I am so happy that my love for photography, graphic design, and social media has turned into what it is today. I love the team that surrounds me and the clients I work with. But, when I am not getting creative behind my camera or laptop, you can find me jamming to musicals, catching up to the latest podcasts, strolling through Target, or adventuring with my partner.
